A Frugal Facial

Want a facial that is quick, easy and very frugal? Here is a great facial that you can make on your own, with ingredients you probably already have. It will make your skin so soft, and you will be amazed by the results.

This time of year, it is important to take care of yourself. You've probably been organizing, cleaning, buying and making gifts, decorating, cooking, etc. Who has time to worry about beauty during the holidays, right? Believe me, I understand. I have three young children, one of whom is in his own flurry of school activity. It is enough somedays just to try and get through the day and go to bed before midnight.

Well, I want you to stop what you are doing right now if you can. And if you can't, make a date with yourself for later in the day. Whip up this easy facial, and then spend five to ten minutes with it on your face. Use that time to read a book, watch a bit of television or just sit back and look at your holiday decorations. Use the time to relax a bit. When you wash off your facial mask, not only will your skin glow, but you will have given yourself some valuable time that will refresh and renew you.

To make this facial, all you will need to do is to mix some dry oatmeal with water, making it into a paste. Use quick cook oats or old fashioned oats, anything but instant oatmeal packets. Apply the paste to your face, but don't scrub. You don't want it to act as an exfoliate. Remember, the goal here is to soften your skin and relax. After the five to ten minutes, wash the facial off gently with warm water. There you go! Your own mini-spa retreat with a cost so low, it is hard to calculate it.
