Certain items go on sale or deep discounts during this month. Take a look at what is available. It might be worth making your purchases now, rather than spending more for them later. And saving is, of course, always frugal. Here is a list of the best buys for July. Although many of us put off our crafts until the fall or winter when we are indoors more often and seem to have more time for them, July is actually the best time to stock up on craft items. Think about what projects or new hobbies that you would like to try and make your purchases now. Do you scrapbook? Believe it or not, you can actually get an assortment of holiday papers and punches now. Do you like to knit or crochet? Stock up on yarn. It isn't as hard as it used to be to stock yarn, as many companies have perfected their yarn dyeing so well, that dye lots are a thing of the past. This is especially true for acrylic yarns. This weekend is a great time to get an appliance. It isn't the best month overall for appliances, but the Independence Day weekend can still offer some good deals. As the summer stock begins to dwindle and retailers are gearing up for the fall clothing lines, now is the time to snag your summer stuff. The deepest discounts will be occurring now, although the selection may not be as full as it was last month. Air conditioners are now finally going on sale, although we have already had a couple of hot and humid days. Still, you'll see some discounts this month and next. If you have an air conditioner that seems to be on its last legs and will need replacing, you might want to consider purchasing a spare and storing it in your home for next year. The fourth of July also brings lots of picnics, so continue to look for barbecue, condiments and other picnic foods to be on your grocery sales flyers. Some items can be easily stockpiled, so keep that in mind as you shop.
