Is Printing Coupons Worth the Expense?

When we first started printing coupons online, my husband questioned the expense of it. After all, both paper and ink cost money. Ink especially is expensive, which could negate the savings from the coupon or maybe even cost more than the coupon. Does he have a point? There are good reasons that coupons are more available online. Even the publishers of coupons, such as Redplum and Smart Source make some coupons only available for print and not included in the Sunday paper as was the traditional method. This is because printing costs are getting more and more expensive. Why not … Continue reading

Coupon Pitfalls to Avoid Part 3

Not knowing coupon policies Each grocery store chain has its own set … Continue reading

Organize Your Stockpile by Becoming a Shelf Life Expert

I’m always on the look out for good stock up opportunities. When something goes on sale, can be “purchased” for free with coupons, or is on a deep clearance, I instantly calculate how much of that item should come home with me. It is important to know how much, logically, you should stockpile of a particular item or category of items. For example: how many jars of peanut butter should be in your pantry  right now until the next great low price? How many boxes of pasta, packages of toilet paper or bottles of shampoo? it all depends on the … Continue reading

Rewards Points

I was just thinking about all the things I accumulate reward points for. I get points for buying Pampers products and points for buying Huggies products. I often look at the catalog of products I’m earning points to buy, for lack of a better word. I rarely see anything I want to pay shipping on to have. Although, I do think there’s a Pampers item I want. I guess I’ll just keep collecting points until I have enough for the vacation. I like Pampers diapers, although not the new Dry Max, and Huggies wipes, but don’t go out of my … Continue reading

Savings Programs

I love a bargain. I love to save where I can. I love clipping coupons and am excited to find them in the Sunday paper or with the circulars in the mail. I have a great filing system for my coupons, but unfortunately all too often forget to use them before they expire or don’t have them with me when I need them. I often wonder if I would save more by buying the items that the coupons are for instead of just clipping coupons for items I typically buy. Today I went on a shopping trip at Buy Buy … Continue reading
