Eat Out for Free 2

pizza Who doesn't love getting things for free? Eating out for free is especially nice, since it combines the necessity of eating (everyone has to eat) with the entertainment of getting out and trying something new. And with the price of gas being so high, you may be able to justify a trip out if the meal is free.

Previously, in the post Eat Out for Free, I shared some ideas for getting free meals, such as the trail run. You can click here to visit that blog and read more: Eat Out for Free.

Now, let me share four more ways to eat out for free. Wouldn't a fun challenge be to combine all of the ideas in this blog and the previous blog and see how many consecutive days that you can eat out for free?

Eat the Test

Contact your local culinary school and ask them if they need some diners to test out the student food. You may even be asked to judge or rate the food, from five-course meals to just desert. Many times, students are tested on how quickly they can provide meals or on the presentation of the food, and while you may not be asked to judge, you may be able to take it all home in a doggy bag.

Get Rewarded

Be on the lookout for coupons and reward programs that will let you eat for free. Now, here is a way to get those rewards without actually having to eat meals ahead of time. Go online and trade for reward points. Many people will gladly give up a free meal in exchange for coupons that they may need more, such as baby formula checks.

Scratch a Back

You know that old saying, you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours? Barter for your meals out with other services and goods that you can offer. Maybe you can clean a restaurant owner's home, fix a car, run errands or do some baby sitting in exchange for a dinner out. I talked before about bartering for home made food, but this can also work for restaurant food. My father once moved a car for alternate side of the street parking in exchange for free lunch.
