lowe\'s kids A while ago I brought you information about kids workshops at the Home Depot. These workshops are free for kids, and are generally held on one or more Saturdays in the month. Well, now I want to talk about the free kids activities at the Lowe's home improvement store. The projects offered by Lowe's for their Build and Grow Clinics are quite impressive. You won't find any plain wooden boxes here.

There are two upcoming workshops this month that look interesting. (Lowe's offers the activities every two weeks.) The first is an art house! I'm not sure if the ants are included. I did sign my son up for this one, but the ant house will have to stay outside somewhere in the woods, to be observed from a safe distance from the house.

The second project that is currently offered is a land sail vehicle. Since my son loves building vehicles and other machines, I know that he is sure to enjoy building this project as well. A land sail is a vehicle that has both wheels and a sail. Wind (natural or artificial) will send the land sail flying across the floor or table. Signing up for the Build and Grow Clinics are easy. It only takes three steps to register. You pick your project or projects and use a pull down menu to select the number of participants. In the next step, you put in your zip code and select a nearby Lowe's store. If you give them your e-mail address, you'll get a reminder about the clinic five days before the scheduled date. That is it.

Lowe's Build and Grow clinics are completely free for kids from 6 years old and up. A parent or guardian should be present with the child. To sign up and learn more about this fun and free activity, visit Lowe's Build and Grow at https://www.lowesbuildandgrow.com/
