In Favor of Printing

I just recently bought an laserjet printer so my mind is currently on the printed word. While I espouse the benefits of technology frequently the truth of the matter is that there just isn’t a true digital alternative to pen and paper. This becomes particularly apparent when you are trying to proofread your own work on a computer monitor. Probably you’ve already been sitting in that chair, at that desk, staring at that screen for the writing of the document. Shouldn’t you get away? Shouldn’t you get up and move a little bit? Is Printing Coupons Worth the Expense?

When we first started printing coupons online, my husband questioned the expense of it. After all, both paper and ink cost money. Ink especially is expensive, which could negate the savings from the coupon or maybe even cost more than the coupon. Does he have a point? Great Grocery Trip!

Today was one of those days where the stars seemed to align at the grocery store. We got in and out without anything extra jumping into the cart, and the trip was relatively quick. In addition, I got to roll a deal and wound up with lots and lots of free food. Do you know what rolling a deal is? It is when you can do the same deal over and over again at the store, as long as you do it in separate transactions. Most of the time I don’t bother with this, but the store was quiet and … Continue reading

Shopping at a Small Grocery Store

Can you really find what you need and save money at a small grocery store? Here is what I think. When we first moved to this new town, I was on the lookout for the chain grocery store that I always shopped. I knew the prices, coupons policies and layout. So, when it came to shopping, we headed off to the closet location. The store turned out to be a lot smaller than the one I was used to at our previous home. There was much less of a selection than I was used to. and because the aisle were … Continue reading
