It seems we are always busy trying to impress the other person, with the great places we can take them, and the nice gifts we give. However, whether your date is in the daytime or the night time, there are lots of ways to have a cheap date, and still have a lot of fun and spend lots of quality time together as a couple. No matter if you are in the mood for a romantic date, an educational date, a group date or an energy boosting date, there are many ways you can enjoy these and save money too. Take for instance the following: ![]() You certainly cannot buy moments like these pictured above. They were free, romantic and fun. One was a nice daytime educational date to the arch, which included a historical tour, and the other was a beautiful stress free, romantic date in the evening, that included a stroll along the riverfront. We have not been on an official date in over 3 years. Hint Hint athomewithgodsgifts (15) 18 Feb 2007 01:29 PMIs wasnt necessarily cheap, but my husband and I alotted some money and got a season's subscription to a local professional community theatre's productions with another couple. Probably 5 plays, some musicals, some not,. The point was that it FORCED us to go out together, and it was fun! Maybe once we met the other couple for dinner before, sometimes we just had the coffee and dessert it intermission and sat and talked with our friends, and sometimes we would get an ice cream cone with them afterward. We didnt spend big bucks on food, in other words. THey have kids too! It made us go out and it was great. It didnt work this season, but we hope for next year. We also like library dates-this can accomodate the kids. The 11 year old finds and starts a new book or magazine, the 6 year old plays at the puzzle table and my hubby and I sit and read together. Not a big date, but it is a cheap night out. And look out when we go there without the kids!! We sometimes chat with each other!!! Keep those cheap date ideas coming! It is important to keep the "fun" part or else you won't enjoy it enough to repeat it. There are dozens of ways to frugally have fun on a date, and your tickets to the community productions is a great idea!
