Sears Coupons

We had a major snowstorm here with more than a foot of snow coming in from late Friday night and all through Saturday. It took a while of shoveling and snow blowing for two days before being able to get the car on the road for church.

We decided to do a little bit of shopping in the afternoon. We didn't do too much, because we knew the roads would ice up once the temperature dropped back down in the evening. So, with that in mind, we basically hit two stores: Sears and Toys R Us.

One thing that I learned this afternoon is that it is best to shop department by department, rather than gathering everything you need and then doing one major checkout. Why is this so? Well, Sears was printing out a lot of coupons with purchase. Some of the coupons were good only starting tomorrow, but a bulk of them could be used today.

By shopping in one department, I got a bunch of coupons that I could apply elsewhere. This allowed me to get some great savings. And guess what? After the second purchase more coupons printed out for other departments. I didn't need to buy anything else, but just the one extra stop saved me 20 percent off of my offer. Since I was planning on purchasing the items anyway--they were on sale and on my list, this extra savings was a bonus.

So, if you have any other shopping to do for Christmas or any other holidays, you might want to take advantage of these coupons that print out at the register, going department by department for your savings.

Some of the coupons that printed out for use tomorrow were high value coupons, such as $10 off any $50 purchase. Perhaps these same coupons will both print and be usable during the rest of the week.
