Cleaning Your Outdoor Living Space

Patios and decks are no longer considered as such. Rather, these days they are referred to as “outdoor living spaces.” In some cases the term is warranted, especially if your patio is rocking a $25,000 built-in fire pit and a full kitchen complete with mini fridge, gas grill and marble countertops. Regardless of whether your outdoor entertaining space is filled with fancy furniture or simple white plastic patio chairs, it needs to be cleaned from time to time. With the busy summer months just a few weeks away, now is the time to clean and disinfect. While it may be … Continue reading

Finding Ways to use up “Bargain” Products

Sometimes, those super bargains are not quite the great value we’re expecting. It happens. New carpet or any other type of flooring just isn’t in my budget right now, less than a month from Christmas. Yet, with four kids and a puppy, the carpeting seemed to be on its last breath and in major need of resuscitation as I was getting ready for last minute Thanksgiving guests. Well, what it really needed -which I give it often- was a good cleaning. Once I did the overall area cleaning it was time to get down to spot cleaning. Some of the spots I had just about given up on but I hate stains, so I … Continue reading
